Another year, another 303 event - and this one promises to blow last year’s event out of the water! We’re talking awesome food, incredible music, local talent, and so much more. If you haven’t already made plans for that day, then you should definitely join in on the festivities. And if you have made plans… cancel them! You won’t regret it.
Unofficial Holiday for Coloradoans
There are so many wonderful things to celebrate about Denver and the great state of Colorado, but few events can measure up to 303 Day. This event takes place on March 3rd every year. Why March 3rd, you ask? This date was chosen because the primary area code of Denver is… you guessed it… 303. What began as a small event has blossomed in recent years into an unofficial holiday celebrated by Denverites and other Colorado residents.
Illegal Pete’s Incredible Food Specials
Everyone loves Illegal Pete’s, You’ll find breakfast burritos, breakfast bowls, New Belgium beers, margaritas, and Bloody Marys for $3.03 each. Illegal Pete's locations on South Broadway and Colfax will be slinging these deals all day long.
Illegal Pete’s Awesome Contests and Deals
In addition to the food specials at Illegal Pete’s, you’ll find two contests and one discounted deal. The first contest is for tickets to the 303 Day’s Night show at the Oriental. The second is for a newly unveiled Colorado Mammoth jersey, so be sure to enter that contest, too. As for the discounted deal, you can purchase tickets for the March 9th Mammoth game for only $3.03.
Time to Show Colorado Pride
There are scores of ways to show your Colorado pride on 303 Day. You can wear a t-shirt of your favorite local band, a jersey of your favorite sports team, a sweatshirt from your university (or one your son or daughter attends), or even a hat. But this isn’t just about pride. If you wear any type of Colorado gear, you can visit Illegal Pete’s for a free 303 Day sticker. But we all know that showing Colorado pride is an award in itself, right?
Music Celebrations Galore
If you’re a fan of music, then 303 Day is definitely something you’ll want to check out. It starts with picking up a copy of 303 Magazine’s second compilation of all-local music called 303 Music Vol. 2. This will be available at the Illegal Pete’s locations on Colfax and South Broadway on the day of the celebration. If you decide to drop by the Colfax location, you’ll even get to have the compilation signed by a few of the local artists. And if that wasn’t enough, FM station 93.3 will be there with a live broadcast from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Local Bands, Artists, and Comedians
Denver is very vocal when it comes to supporting local bands, artists, comedians, and other entertainers. The festivities throughout 303 Day will allow you to meet some of the most popular entertainers that the city has to offer, in addition to up-and-comers who are just starting to make a name for themselves through their selected venue and profession.
