MadeRoots: Grassroots Chicago Moves to MADE Gallery this March

Chicago Made x Grassroots Chicago

We're so excited to announce that GRC CHI is merging storefronts with another local shop known for art, glass, and extreme fashion: chicago.MADE.

Made Chicago Made GalleryCurrently nestled at 1430 Chicago Ave in (just a few blocks northwest of the 515), MADE Gallery is home to some of the most impressive glass in Chitown and a killer collection of Grassroots hats!  As one of the largest Grassroots retailers in the Chicagoland area, Made's location is a great fit for us! The new and improved storefront will feature over 100 styles of Grassroots hats, more than 150 pieces of apparel and accessories, as well as Made's own merch line, glass, and Grassroots-collaboration hats.  As we merge storefronts, our teams will join forces so you can still look forward to seeing our familiar faces.  Our store hours will also adapt to Made's current schedule, so please check our Facebook and Google pages for these changes.

Friday, March 8th will be our soft opening at the new location. We'll be (re)opening the MADE doors as a collaborative storefront and gallery and we're kicking things off proper! As we establish our roots at our new location, we'll resurrect the Movement Gallery, Grassroots' revered art space, throughout the year. We've already started planning gallery events, meet-and-greets, and artists collaborations for Spring 2019 and are gearing up for an awesome 4/20 weekend!  Think our parties and after-parties were lit at the 515? Just wait 'til you hear what we have in the works for this year!

Final Friday at the 515 Grassroots Chicago PartySpeaking of parties: our last party the 515, (and our last day of sales) is Saturday, February 22rd, and we're going out with a bang(er!): Final Friday at the 515! We'll have live music from Chicago artists, imjustinbraun, swesdo, kromuh, and easyjack. on a Funktion-One Sound system.  With free entry, free pizza, a mega-clearance sale, and BYOB hangs, you better clear your calendars from 8 pm to midnight for this last rager at 515 N Halsted!  In the meantime, we're hooking you up with 40% off everything in-store! All hats, apparel, and accessories, DimeBags, and even our treasured art collection are at all-time low prices!  The Movement Gallery's Final Art Sale (happening now through the 23rd) features original art and prints from artists such as Cherry Moth Cake, MeltyBros Aaron Brooks & Vincent Gordon, Cassady Bell and KGB Glass in addition to the artists who participated in Graffroots, our most recent Graffiti-based art show. You can check out all of the art virtually in this Facebook Album and hit our inbox to request info or make an online purchase!
