... When Tree Shurts helped introduce Grassroots California to Method Man, the American rapper and producer known as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan. Of course, blunts were sparked and pleasantries exchanged. It was this moment that one of our biggest musical artist collaborations was born.

Grassroots x Method Man: Official Collaboration

Much like Grassroots, Tree Shurts is rooted in the cannabis community and fashion industry. Their very first piece of apparel was a picture of nug, enlarged, and printed on a "shurt", thus "Tree Shurts" was born. As another brand paving the way in the counter-culture scene, Tree Shurts and Grassroots California became close friends and partners, leading a movement at festivals and events nationwide. Tree Shurts had met Method Man and his brand manager, Nut, on tour in 2010 and soon after, he was repping their "shurts" on stage around the world! It was that summer Tree Shurts connected the dots for us: Method Man loved our hats and was totally down to collaborate. Since our first meeting, we've produced more than 13 styles of Method Man hats, hoodies, jackets, and socks, and have seen our collab merch on stage as well! So yes, this is an official collaboration and it's c.r.e.a.m.y. af!
